It is said that if we “sow to the wind we reap the whirlwind.” And that’s exactly where we are! In 1973 our nation’s highest court tragically handed down the decisions that legalized abortion (Roe vs. Wade) and made it on demand for any reason (Doe vs. Bolton). That was approximately 49+ million abortions ago in our land. That means we’re seeing an abortion every 26 seconds!
An now we are facing some 78 million Boomers starting to retire with a Social Security system ill prepared to meet the needs before it. Some studies show that Social Security used to have 6 or 7 to 1 workers to retirees. Today it is 2 to 1. An impact of the abortion tragedy! The labor market has shrunk due in skilled workers…another tragic outcome of the abortion tragedy. And how many future teachers, doctors, laborers, nurses, lawyers, bankers, military leaders, etc. have we lost?!? Not to mention the fact that the leading edge of aborted babies would now be 35…and what beneficial impact would all those driver aged young adults have had on the reeling automotive markets in America?
49+ million murdered children…and yet we rail against Germany for the Halocaust! We have created our own Halocaust.
I thank God for wonderful organizations like the ComfortCare Women’s Health Care Centers of Waynesboro and Staunton, Va. where I had the privllege of speaking this last week. They are working hard to aid women facing unplanned pregnancies in making the decision for LIFE and having their babies and the joy and fulfillment they bring.
Today, we are faced with very clear decisions in so many areas in the presidential race. One favors the support of Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton. The other stands for a culture of life and its sanctity…from the point of conception. I pray Americans will prayerfully enter the voting booth as they fulfill their voting obligations. How long will God withhold His judgement
on a nation that has treated life so poorly?
There are so many people that want to adopt children and they have to go to foreign countries. Wouldn’t it be nice to have those 49 million back! Keep up the good work!
This is an aspect of abortion that many are not aware of–we truly are reaping the whirlwind of abortion in so many ways. Something so basic as respect for human life and the defense of the most innocent among us cannot be trampled on without serious consequences in every aspect of our society.
Thanks so much for what you are doing to help protect those babies and women (and men). We enjoyed your visit here and are sure that we will be reaping the harvest for awhile to come!!
I attended the Waynesboro, VA banquet where you spoke. The facts you share in this article and in your presentation just “knocked” me flat. I weep for out lost children and the devastation abortion leaves in its path.
Thank you for bringing to life the facts that we as the body of Christ must face and deal with.
May God continue to bless your ministry.
Thank you so much for the information you gave at the ComfortCare Banquet. It definately puts in a new perspective about life and how many babies are never given the chance to make a difference. I hope this message gets out to many more people that need to hear this.
God Bless you
Dr. Bob Reccord is truly a man of God and a champion of the Cause of Christ and for Life. “This is the best banquet speaker we have ever had,” was the response shared with me by countless supporters in attendance. Especially the men seemed eager to share with me that they were pumped up and ready to spring into action and conquer the evil of abortion in our land. I am so grateful for Dr. Bob and his precious wife, Cheryl, and their ministry to me personally, to my family, and to our family of supporters at ComfortCare. Dr. Bob’s message was vital, timely, and anointed. Thank you, Dr. Bob, for making our banquets not only a financial success, but also an eternal success!
